Heather D. Casteel advises high net worth individuals and families on all aspects of estate planning, tax planning, and estate and trust administration, with particular expertise in planning with partnership and fund interests as well as representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries of substantial estates and trusts.  Heather also has experience advising clients with respect to charitable planning, including significant gifts and pledges, and the formation, administration, and dissolution of private foundations. 

Prior to joining Accelerant Law, Heather practiced in the Trusts & Estates departments of Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York, New York.  Heather began her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Edward R. Korman of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and while in law school, was Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology.  Heather is a current member of the Trusts, Estates, and Surrogate's Court Committee of the New York City Bar Association and is a past member of the Estate and Gift Taxation Committee.
